The analysis of the profiles and the distribution of the firms that operate in the business sector plays a major role in the prediction and management of a country’s macroeconomic performance. Studies that utilize analyses of the business sector constitute a field of economics that has been swiftly developing in the past few years. As access to firm data increases, significant progress has been made in this field in Turkey.
Taking inspiration from these studies on the analysis of the business sector, a meeting titled “The Anatomy of Firms in Turkey: What Have We Learned and Why Does It Matter?” will be held on October 11 2018, between 09:40-11:40 am in the TUSİAD headquarters, to share the analysis and the results of the “2018 OECD Economic Survey of Turkey”. In this meeting, Senior Economist of the OECD Turkey Desk, Dr. Rauf Gönenç will give a presentation concerning priorities in structural and policy reforms in the context of the economic and financial tensions that Turkey has been experiencing. Following this presentation, a panel will be held moderated by REF Director İzak Atiyas discussing these priorities.
